Alberta Apocalypse

About Us

Welcome to Alberta Apocalypse!

We are a not-for-profit group dedicated to organizing and playing large-scale 'apocalypse' sized campaigns of Warhammer 40k.

What we've done is create a custom rule-set that combines the most current Warhammer 40k rules with campaign and apocalypse rules, then tweaked them all for a unique but not-too-daunting feel.

We provide all of our rules, free of charge, to our members for use in playing our version of the game. Please note that these rules may differ from the standard rules for Warhammer 40k as provided by Games Workshop.

Our group is not, in any way, shape, or form, associated with Games Workshop, Forge World, Citadel, or any other branch of the Company. We are strictly independent.

What we provide in our games are rules, venues, tables, terrain features, and opponents. You provide your own army.

One of the major reasons why we exist was to combat the ever-changing rules of the game to provide a more balanced and stable rule-set while incorporating all past 'out-of-date' rules, rules for units that lack models, and creating rules for models that lack them.

The other is to provide the tools needed to support large apocalypse-sized games. We believe that bigger really is better.

Finally, we want to be a source of information for players looking to expand their hobby but have trouble finding the proper tools needed to do so. What we mean is providing lists of all the tools, supplies, and materials that we use to make our miniatures, terrain, and table, as well as provide the information on where to get them.

Going one step further, we will host a series of videos explaining some of the finer details and processes we use with a suite of tutorials, battle reports, question and answer sessions, and general information.
